    Mindfulness coaching cuts through the maze of meditation styles to provide clear information about the techniques, the science, and what is most likely to be of benefit. Personalised recommendations, instruction and follow-up support enable mindfulness to be embedded into your life.

  • The mindful coaching relationship commences with a review of your experience, goals and motivations for mindfulness. Our coach will then design a program of mindful techniques and activities and support you to become confident in their use.

    Each session will typically include:

    • A check-in about your progress and mindful experience. A review of progress toward your goals;

    • Clarifying mindfulness techniques and skills, where required and expanding on mindfulness techniques, guidance and additional techniques and approaches where appropriate;

    • Mindfulness meditation - a period of shared mindfulness meditation led by the coach;

    • An agreement for next steps.

  • Developing a mindfulness practice is much like learning any other skill - whilst easy it requires commitment and time to build a habit. Most people notice a clear improvement in their wellbeing after a couple of weeks of mindfulness practice, even as little as 15 minutes a day.

    Here at pauseful, we recommend commencing with 6 sessions to build confidence and competence and ensure the habits of mindfulness are gained.

  • There is a growing body of evidence that this type of mindfulness coaching is highly effective in terms of client outcomes.

    A series of studies have examined the impact of mindfulness-based coaching on a variety of groups, including health care professionals, employees, adults from the community, and university students.

    They found that these interventions can have beneficial effects on psychological functioning and well-being in healthy adults, including reduced psychological distress, negative emotions, and stress and burnout symptoms, and improved general relaxation, positive emotions, satisfaction with life, and interpersonal functioning.
